Dan Carlisle was a 16 year old sophomore and member of the 1995 Northmont football team. He was a scholar athlete and member of the Northmont Honor Society. Dan loved life, lived it to its fullest and took a great deal of pride in his academics, his football and his friends. He died in January 1996 after a battle with cancer.
It is the intent of this scholarship to recognize Dan's dedication, sacrifice, effort and courage. This scholarship is awarded each year to a member of the football program who is a scholar-athlete and exhibits the characteristics displayed by Dan during his time at Northmont.
Dan will be remembered by his family, friends, teachers and coaches for his great personality, excellent work ethic and his ability to care for others. This scholarship was established with donations from Dan's family and many friends and neighbors in the Northmont community. The Carlisle family will always remember the loving support provided by friends, teachers and the entire Northmont football staff.
"If it is true that, to a great extent, the worth of a man can be measured by the depth of admiration and love others felt for him, then Dan Carlisle was a giant." - Ed Domsitz, January 1996
